Pre & Post-Operative Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation and physiotherapy before and after an operation are as important as the surgery itself. As the saying goes, "The more you put it, the more you get out."
It is crucial to begin physiotherapy as soon as possible to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Surgical procedures we strongly advise physiotherapy for are:
Joint replacements - i.e hip and knee replacements
Arthroscopy - often a camera into the joint and minor repairs
Spinal surgery - e.g microdiscectomy
Carpal tunnel release
Orthopaedic surgery following fractures - 'plates and pins'
Treatment is often exercise based, and here at Delta we are able to provide the best environment to apply effective rehabilitation programmes in our Rehab-Gym and studio under the guidance of the physiotherapists and our strength and conditioning coach. Other treatments can include manual therapy and soft tissue techniques, with acupuncture for pain relief.
